Officials in Tasmania are striving to determine a rosy sludge that has materialized on a isolated coast, with certain experts anxious it could be an phytoplankton proliferation.

Speaking to the media, the premier stated he was did not know of any links between the algae outbreak and the aquaculture sector, saying expert examination was required before determinations could be made.
