Despite entering their maiden European campaign, Crystal Palace are adapting very quickly. Missing key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a comfortable result that virtually guarantees them a spot in the Conference League playoffs.
Another three points in their next fixture against Finland's KuPS should be sufficient to secure direct entry to the last 16, particularly after a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Grasp the Opportunity
This occasion offered a platform for some of Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a clinical finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, finding the net for the second game in succession.

After the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw several players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring with his first touch, but saw his effort blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then missed a glaring chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect evening for the visiting side.
